I’m James Chamberlain, currently Head of the Security Testing service at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence. I’ve been working in cyber security and system administration for over two decades, with a background in Linux systems, Offensive Security, and a particular interest in red teaming and adversary simulation, with far too much of my time spent these days doing managerial tasks!

Day to day, I focus on building and running high-impact goal-based penetration tests, red team operations, and attack simulations across critical sectors, everything from governments and finance to national infrastructure. I’ve led teams on global engagements, built internal capability from scratch, and helped define how we test systems that were never really designed with security in mind.

Before this, I've gradually shifted from infrastructure and admin work into more offensive and technical roles. Along the way, I picked up a few certs and a deep interest in how vulnerabilities combine and chain especially in complex, real-world environments.

I’m qualified as a:

• CHECK Team Leader (APP & INF - CREST & CyberScheme)
• Offensive Security Exploit Developer / Certifed Expert / Certified Professional
• And a Chartered Cyber Security Professional in Security Testing
